25ème Sommet de l’élevage
Un programme prometteur
Cette année, les 5, 6 et 7 octobre, le Sommet de l’élevage aura 25 ans. Si le contexte économique ne se prête pas vraiment à la fête, le rendez-vous incontournable de la filière se prépare à une édition pleine de promesses...
Avec plus de 2 000 animaux minutieusement sélectionnés, 1 400 exposants et plus de 85 000 visiteurs attendus, cette 25e édition du Sommet de l’élevage offrira un panorama complet de l’élevage aux professionnels, ponctué de rencontres d’affaires, concours d’envergure, animations et conférences mais également de nouveautés marquantes.
La fine fleur de l’élevage
Côté concours, la race charolaise revient à l’honneur avec plus de 400 reproducteurs en compétition nationale. En bovin lait, la race simmental organisera son “Euro-Simmental” et la race prim’holstein son “Challenge France”. Quant aux ovins, les races texel, rava, charollais et île-de-France seront sur le devant de la scène avec leurs concours interrégionaux.
Le Sommet de l’élevage accueillera ainsi la fine fleur de l’élevage français et européen avec 750 bovins viande, 550 bovins lait, 400 ovins et 300 équins en concours ou en présentation.
Grande nouveauté 2016 : c’est désormais sur le ring du Zénith d’Auvergne, salle de spectacles d’envergure attenant au parc des expositions, que le public assistera aux différents concours et aux nombreuses présentations animales des races allaitantes.
Côté exposants, 1 400 sociétés venues des quatre coins du monde seront présentes pour l’occasion, sur une surface brute d’exposition de plus de 175 000 m². Avec 28 pays représentés, le salon se veut plus que jamais ouvert à l’international.
Autre preuve de son succès, la présence chaque année sur le Sommet de nombreuses personnalités politiques. Parions que pour cette nouvelle édition, dans un contexte de primaires et d’élections présidentielles, la classe politique ne déroge pas à la règle… À ce titre, Stéphane Le Foll, ministre de l’Agriculture, et Phil Hogan, commissaire européen à l’Agriculture et au Développement rural, ont d’ores et déjà confirmé leur participation.
